Laughing Cat Records proudly announces the release of
Beyond Reasons’ 4th album:
The Blue Room
(Old Orchard Beach, Maine) – Southern Maine-based blues/rock band Beyond Reason returns from a 15-year recording hiatus to release the band’s much anticipated follow-up to the 1997 EP, Stompin’ the Blues: Volume 1. The new release, The Blue Room, picks up where the EP tantalizingly left off, delivering new recordings of the five tracks from Stompin the Blues and five previously unrecorded songs.
The Blue Room marks Beyond Reasons’ 20th anniversary since forming in 1992, and a refinement of the band’s trademark sound. Pop riffs have given way to roof-raising blues/rock, with a dash of folk. As band co-founder and guitarist, Greg Kidd, sums up, Beyond Reason’s current sound is “Holy foot stomping prog blues on a Celtic bun!”
Beyond Reason is Kidd, co-founder Steve Leighton on vocals, Steve Mead on bass/vocals and Roland Krueger on drums. Tom Coolidge lends his talent on piano for five tracks, with session musicians Doug Gray (electric guitar), Mike McInnis (keyboards) and John Etnier (organ) providing additional instrumentation.
The ten-song release is currently available for purchase online at iTunes, CDBaby, and amazon.com.
